Implementation

• When used for prophylaxis of motion sickness, administer at least 30 min and preferably 1–2 hr before exposure to conditions that may precipitate motion sickness

• PO: Use calibrated measuring device when administering liquid dose.

• IM: Administer into well-developed muscle; massage well

• Direct IV:
Diluent: Dilute 50 mg in 0.9% NaCl for injection
Concentration: 5 mg/ml

• Rate:
Inject over 2 min

D5W, 0.45% NaCl, 0.9% NaCl, Ringer's solution, lactated Ringer's solution, dextrose/saline combinations, or dextrose/Ringer's combinations.
