Contraindication/Precautions

Contraindicated in:

• Hypersensitivity;

• Areas of skin rash, abrasion, or inflammation (absorption is increased);

• History of seizures;

• Lactation: Potentially toxic to infants; may ↓ milk supply;

• Pedi: Premature neonates (↑ risk of CNS toxicity).

• Patients with skin conditions (↑ risk of systemic absorption);

• OB: Do not exceed recommended dose; do not use >2 courses of therapy;

• Pedi: Geri: Children ≤2 yr and geriatric patients (↑ risk of systemic absorption and CNS side effects).
